Using Helen Frankenthaler's Captains Watch as inspiration and after an exploration of digital and hand surfaces design techniques, mare was created.  Hand surface design techniques were used to dye, linoleum stamp, and leather stamp the fabric, while flat pattern-making techniques formed the silhouette.

the rei look

the cerise look

This two look collection was created after a design study conducted on the pattern making, sewing, and design techniques of Rei Kawakubo of COMME des GARCONS. Following her direction, the goal was to create something new that blurs the lines of the conventional "rules" in the fashion industry, which signals the name of the collection "lagom" meaning "in balance". The final designs for this collection were created using drawing techniques with colored pencil, Adobe Ilustrator, and Gerber Accumark.
