Designed using a combination of half-scale draping and CLO 3D software, this piece was created in response to a draping course assignment. This was inspired by elegant formal wear with the intention to compliment the form of the body using bias draping techniques and the use of a silk fabric.

The design process began with draping on a half scale mannequin, which were imported into CLO 3D and edited as needed. The patterns were then sewn and draped on the virtual form and the intended fabrics were applied. Once the fit was evaluated, the patterns were sent to the cutter to be printed as full scale patterns to be made into a final garment.
