This collection was created with inspiration from the artwork done by Yvonne Jacquette, and the versatile use of cotton. The goal was to use geometric, flat shapes and combine them with textures and colors to create emotion and the feeling of a city, much like that of Jacquette’s artwork. With hopes that the consumer would be able to relate their own experiences with the world around them to these designs, the intended consumer for these textiles are young singles or couples looking to bring liveliness to their living spaces.

With cotton textiles the consumers would be buying a product that would last, as the durability and comfortability of cotton would allow the textile to keep up with the frequent use of furniture and pillows, while being a product that the consumer enjoys using and wants to keep in their household. In addition, the rising concerns with sustainability issues makes cotton another appealing choice, as the target consumer would want a product that does not contribute to environmental and social issues. These textiles are ideal for a living area on couches, chairs, and pillows, giving the consumer colors that bring life to their household, while also a variety of designs that can work together cohesively in one space.
